I love to see the Christmas decorations that people put in their yards and on their homes during
this time of the year. Some people are very serious about their decorations and they start decorating right after Halloween, while others wait until the last minute. All of the preparations for Christmas serve as a reminder that something exciting is coming. The decorations, lights, trees, ornaments, and gifts reveal that something big is happening that you do not want to miss.
The four Sundays prior to Christmas are a time of preparation known as Advent, which literally means “coming.” It is during this time that Christians are invited to prepare for something the world has never experienced before – the birth of Jesus.
