Pastor Bill offers an adult education class in the Sanctuary from 10:30am – 11:30am. The class is held in person and you can tune in online on our YOUTUBE or FACEBOOK pages. The Bible Study will break for the Advent Christmas Season and for the Lenten Easter Season.
"I Am - Seeing Jesus As God"
Perhaps no other book in the Bible has had such a profound effect on people as the Gospel of John. Ask someone to recite a Bible verse from memory and they will probably say John 3:16.
However, there are no parables in John and we don’t see the Christmas story. John does record, though, some things not seen in the other Gospels, such as Jesus changing water into wine and several conversations with His disciples before He was crucified. In particular, Jesus made seven, “I Am,” statements as a way to reveal that He was God. Without John’s Gospel, it would be very difficult to understand why there was so much opposition to Jesus and why people wanted Him put to death.
